Richard Rimington is a Science Fiction author, writing predominantly in the Space Opera sub-genre.
He has written and published eighteen short stories and four novels to date, and is always preparing to write more.
Richard’s goal is to produce a new novel every year, but around sixteen months per novel is currently the average result so far.
Richard’s proudest achievement is the recent completion of his multi-book series, The Infinite Void.
His latest book, Defiant Survival, has ranked at number #2000 in the Amazon Space Opera charts, and at number #500 in the Cyberpunk fiction charts. Richard grew up in the Midlands, England, and has spent ten years living in Hong Kong and India.
Richard is an expert on the history of science fiction, but often finds greatest inspiration in studying events from history, as reality will always be stranger than fiction. Currently, he is reading a book on the life of Caravaggio.
His advice to any aspiring writer is to gain experience in fully completing projects, such as by writing short stories for an anthology, and working with professional editors.
His personal favorite science fiction books are Hyperion, Revelation Space, Ancillary Justice, Neuromancer, and The Left Hand of Darkness.

To tell the truth, I’m never quite sure where the anthologies should go in the book ordering. Once more books are released, I’ll move the anthologies to their own mini-series, but that’ll be some time next year at the soonest.
For the record, you can read the anthologies either before OR after the novels, they basically run parallel.
